06 — Quests
Only the ones that unlock something.
There are hundreds of quests. These are the ones where finishing changes what you can do, ordered by when they start paying off.
Tier 1 · Do these early, they pay every day
The Travelling Trader — Rashid
Unlocks the travelling merchant who buys loot for far more than local NPCs, moving to a different city each day of the week. This is the single largest passive income increase available to a low-level character. Do it as soon as you're premium. Once completed, you keep Rashid access even if your premium lapses.
The Postman Quest
Unlocks the royal mailbox network and travel shortcuts. Small, tedious, and it saves you an hour a week forever. Like Rashid, the access persists after premium ends.
The Thieves Guild Quest — Black Bert
Another persistent-access merchant. Same reasoning.
The Inquisition Quest — blessings
Gives access to the Blessings of the Inquisition and to Henricus, who sells the full set in one place at a small markup. On an Open PvP world where you should be fully blessed every session, having one NPC that does all of it is worth the trip.
Tier 2 · The one that unlocks a whole system
Forgotten Knowledge
Completing the first part unlocks imbuing. That alone makes it the most important quest in this guide — life leech and mana leech are what make modern hunting sustainable, and you cannot get them without this.
- The first part is accessible well before you can fight anything in the quest proper. Do it as early as you can — it costs you nothing to have imbuing unlocked at level 60 even if you only imbue basics for a while.
- The full quest is six elemental portals — energy, death, ice, earth, fire, holy — each with a boss on a timer, designed for level 200+ groups. This is what gates powerful (tier 3) imbuements, alongside further quests.
- Free accounts get basic imbuements only. Premium gets basic and intricate from the first part, and powerful after the additional quests.
Tier 3 · System unlocks worth knowing about
Measuring Tibia
Introduces the Discovery System. Since Summer 2026, fully discovering areas grants a permanent movement speed bonus inside them — up to 195 speed as your overall progress grows. Worth starting early because it rewards the wandering you'll do anyway.
The Adventurers' Guild
Home of the Exaltation Forge and the practical hub for the modern equipment systems. Not a hard quest — just know it exists and where it is.
Feaster of Souls
A chain with real prerequisites: Lion's Rock sanctum access, Sea of Light, The Shattered Isles up to Ramoa, and The Blood Brothers to mission 4 for Vengoth. Gates later content including the familiar spells. Plan it, don't stumble into it.
Soul War
Five access bosses on 20-hour cooldowns, then a final boss on a 68-hour one — and you have to re-kill the five each time. Source of the Soulwalkers / Soulbastion / Spiritthorn gear, and of the promotion scrolls that grant extra wheel points. Deep endgame.
Tier 4 · Access to places you'll want to hunt
Most good hunting grounds built after you left sit behind an access quest. You don't need to plan these in advance — but when a hunt finder tells you to go somewhere and the door is shut, this is why.
| Area | Roughly when | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Yalahar | 30+ | In Service of Yalahar. Long, but the city is a hub and free accounts can enter. |
| Farmine / Zao | 50+ | Wrath of the Emperor. Large chain, opens a whole continent. |
| Oramond | 100+ | Children of the Revolution. Also a reputation system for the local hunting grounds. |
| Roshamuul | 150+ | Dark Trails. Some of the best mid-to-high experience in the game. |
| Issavi / Kilmaresh | 150+ | The Kilmaresh chain. Newer content, good duo spawns. |
| Asura Citadel | Endgame | Shards of a Broken Moon, Summer 2026. Permanent access plus a repeatable boss. |
Before travelling to any of these, check the access requirements on TibiaWiki's quest index — several have prerequisite chains that take a session of their own.
What can wait
- Outfit and mount quests. Purely cosmetic. Fun, not urgent — with one exception: mounts give speed, and speed is real.
- The Annihilator, the Demon Oak, the Pits of Inferno. The great quests of your era. They're still there, they're still good, and their rewards no longer compete with anything current. Do them for the memory, not the item.
- Anything gated behind a 200+ boss while you're under 100. The wiki will happily let you read ahead and demoralise yourself. Don't.
A note on the task system
The old hunting-task NPCs you may remember were reworked in November 2025 into the Task Board. You don't need a quest to start — find a board, take a bounty task, and it works. See Systems.
